This course is a 2 day intensive workshop teaching the basic arrangements used for weddings. We will be covering the theory and design aspects of Wedding work, understand more about the process and behind the scenes, and creating 5 arrangements used during Weddings

The topics covered as follows:

• Tools used in floristry

• Design principles

• Colour theory

• How to source for flowers

• Choosing blooms in the flower market

• Wedding floral planning

• Conditioning of flowers and foliage

• Creating 5 arrangements used in weddings

COURSE OUTLINE:

Day 1 (10.30-3.30pm)

- Theory: Introduction to floristry, introduction to florist equipment and tools, preparing and conditioning flowers before arrangement, basic design principles, colour matching etc.

- Dome shaped Bridal Bouquet

- Boutonnieres (2 techniques)

- Flower Crown

Day 2 (10.30am-3.30pm)

-Theory: Process and planning for the wedding florals, discussion on logistics required etc.

- Natural Style Bridal Bouquet

- Table Centrepiece Arrangement (solemnisation/reception)

This course is suitable for beginners or florists who wish to venture into weddings or those who wish to style weddings. No prior experience is required and all materials are provided

COURSE ATTENDANCE:

Please note that for 2-day courses, full attendance is required to receive the certificate of participation. in the event if there is a change in the date/time of the workshop we will let you know in advance.
